I have a 2000-person family.
It’s going to be a quick read. I’m just thankful for all the love and support you’ve shown me by following me and being a part of my journey.
A SHORT STORY:
My name is Richard. I am still a college student who enjoys coding and is always willing to learn new things! I use Medium to share my experience and knowledge from all the projects on which I worked.
I began writing on Medium on January 15th of this year, and after around 23 stories/articles, I stopped posting stories on February 27th. AND……
Let’s just say that today, May 6th, I’m back and never stopping again!
Why did I stop sharing my stories?
I’m going to be completely honest with you! I’m still young and learning new things every day.
I enjoyed writing stories, but because I live in India, I was unable to participate in the medium partnership program. At first, I believed it wouldn’t be a problem, but after seeing everyone else making money from their stories, I realized I wasn’t going to be able to make any money from mine. I was a little disappointed and left medium.
What I have learned while I was on a BREAK?
I had already around 1000 followers when I stopped writing on Medium. When I checked my account yesterday, I was surprised to learn that I had gained 2000+ followers with the 23 articles I published in those two months. And, when I was on the break, I also used to get job offers via email, which I believe stemmed from my Medium stories. That’s when I realized:
When people like my writing, they trust me that my stories will help them learn something new, too. Then, Why should I stop writing?
As a result, here I am! I’m back and ready to begin sharing my journey with you! Thank you for the love you gave me!
